| The Rohan Group, founded by Mr. Harresh N. Mehta and his family over a decade ago has, since its modest beginnings grown to become a big player in the South Mumbai City real estate sector. As part of the urban renewal process in the City, where most buildings of the pre-independence era are badly dilapidated, the Government in the 1990's offered additional Floor Space Index (FSI) as an incentive to private players. The Rohan Group seized this demanding opportunity and made its mark with strategic land purchases, credible tenant negotiations and timely delivery while overcoming difficult logistics in the congested City. Instrumental in the rehabilitation of over 2500 tenants, the Group is delivering over 2.5 million sqft. of residential apartments in the City. Awaiting redevelopment are over 50 buildings in prime localities – Hughes Road, Altamount Road, Nepeansea Road, Prabhadevi, Dhobi Talao, Khetwadi, Prarthana Samaj, Girgaum, Matunga and other Central and North-West Mumbai locations. The Group is also developing a two million sqft prestigious green commercial project on the surplus mill land in partnership with Ruby Mills to be completed in two phases over four years. Rohan Group is a partner in Shivalik Ventures Pvt Ltd which is developing a 127 acre slum with a potential area of 18 million sqft off the Western Express Highway close to the Bandra-Kurla complex.
